Getting started with Merentra

Reach one useful result in your first focused session.

You do not need to configure every module or recreate your entire career. Choose the one area that matters today, add only appropriate professional information and leave with something you can use.

Choose your starting point

Begin where the administrative burden is greatest today.

Each route is deliberately small. The in-App guide adapts to what you have already completed and can be collapsed when it is no longer useful.

01

Professional Record

Best when evidence, achievements or career history are scattered.

  • Add one qualification, course, audit, publication or role.
  • Attach appropriate encrypted evidence.
  • Set an expiry or reminder when relevant.
First outcome: one trusted, searchable Record item.
02

Work

Best when a rota, job plan or recurring work pattern is hard to understand.

  • Create one role and location.
  • Add one recurring session or reviewed import.
  • Confirm what is planned before publishing it.
First outcome: one clear, reviewable work pattern.
03

Practice

Best when appraisal or revalidation evidence needs structure.

  • Create the current appraisal period.
  • Add one reflective supporting-information entry.
  • Link existing Record evidence where useful.
First outcome: one organised appraisal evidence thread.
04

Training

Best when progression requirements or upcoming reviews feel fragmented.

  • Add the current programme or rotation.
  • Record one capability, assessment or milestone.
  • Set the next review or evidence action.
First outcome: one visible due-next training priority.
05

Opportunities

Best when a course, fellowship, grant or role needs a decision.

  • Add or save one sourced opportunity.
  • Review why it may be relevant and what remains uncertain.
  • Create one private preparation task.
First outcome: one evidence-linked next step.
A simple first-session rhythm

Useful beats complete.

Merentra is designed to grow with your professional life. The first session should reduce one burden, not create another migration project.

Minutes 0–3

Orient yourself

Confirm your profile basics, choose a focus and review the explanation of who can see the information you are about to add.

Minutes 3–12

Create one useful item

Use the smallest complete workflow. Save a Record item, work pattern, appraisal entry, training priority or opportunity task.

Minutes 12–15

Check the result

Review provenance, dates, privacy and the next action. Report friction through the private founding-cohort feedback route inside Merentra.

Boundaries before speed

The guide supports your workflow. It is not an official checklist.

Regulators, employers, training programmes and designated bodies may have their own requirements. Merentra helps you organise and prepare; it does not replace their authoritative process or decision.

Keep sensitive information out of the workflow

Use the minimum professional context needed. A founding cohort is not permission to place unsuitable information into support, feedback or test records.

  • 1Do not enter patient-identifiable information.
  • 2Do not submit passwords, API keys, payment-card details or authentication codes.
  • 3Do not copy employer-confidential, legally privileged or third-party material without authority.
  • 4Review every Mara proposal and organisation consent before saving or sharing.
Your next action

Choose one useful outcome and begin.

The in-App guide can recommend a route from the information already approved in your account. It never grants an employer, organisation or regulator access to your private record.
